About Mr. K. Murali
My father was worked the Collector (Retired) under the Government of Tamil Nadu and he has left of 5 children, the youngest one being myself. I have served as a Leading Official in various organisations for sports, conference, seminar and promoter of Coimbatore Association for the Deaf; I was also the office bearer of various organisations for almost 25 years. I was the past Executive Committee Member of All India Sports Council of the Deaf, New Delhi, and supporting the cause of All India Federation of the Deaf, New Delhi I have secured many medals in sports at the International/National/State/District levels, consisting of table tennis, basket ball, Chess and so on. I have been recommending suitable candidates to foreign countries, such as, Nepal, Srilanka, Singapore and Malaysia. I have Passed X std, at St. Louis Institute for the Deaf, Adyar, Chennai – 20., I have Passed Diploma in Cutting & Tailoring conducted By the Madras Tailoring Arts College, Madras in 1980. Passed Type Writing (English) Lower Grade, conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu. And Computer punch – card operation training in 1985 at Coimbatore.
I have started my career owning a Tailoring shop named “FITO – OUTS’ At North Coimbatore, Coimbatore. From 1981 TO 1986 totalling 5 years. I have serverd M/s. ELGI Equipments Ltd, Coimbatore in their capacity of Clerk/Typist from 1986 to 1988 totalling 2 years. Thereafter, I have joined the M/s. Hindustan Photo Film Co Ltd, Ootacamund from 1988 to 1992 as Table Tennis Player (Sports Quota) and subsequently worked at their production dept and stores dept. from 1992 to 2002. , Since is a sick, I have opted for VRS during on 28.2.2002 .Presently, I have been doing social worker under various new projects for the deaf. I am running the new Literacy Education & Resource Centre for the Hearing Impaired and offering training in Computer Technology for the Hearing Impaired. I have secured a new website captioned “INDIA DEAF NEWS. ORG” in order to provide information in respect of the networks against the deaf people in India.
I am working as party time Sports Teacher in Kastriba Gandhi Oral School for the Hearing Impaired having strength of 100 students. My job involves to equip them to participate in the games of Table Tennis, Volleyball, Shuttle Badminton and Athletic. I spouse, Mrs. Sudha, belonging to Karnataka and she is also Deaf and Dumb. She has serverd M/s. Hindustan Photo Film Co Ltd., Ootacamund, and later on opted for VRS in, she is teaching English at Our school. My daughter, Miss. Sneha alias Porrinma Priyanka, aged 9 years, standard 4. She is keenly interesting to communicate with deaf peoples and acts as an interpretor to VIPs and attending to telephones. I have been acting as the Projects Director in ‘DEAF LEADERS’, full name from being “Deaf Empowerment Activities For Literacy Education Accessible Development Employment Rehabilitation & Sports” . It is schools for the deaf students in India in future. From the above details, it is abundantly clear that I have spent a protracted period with utmost dedication to provide innumerable measures for the upliftment and welfare of deaf people
