A 21-day-old baby girl was found in a wooden box floating in river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh. The baby was wrapped in a piece of cloth with a chit declaring her as 'daughter of Ganga’. The box carrying the infant was found by local boatman, Gullu Chaudhary, who took her home. Police later got the child admitted to a hospital.
