A 22-year-old engineering student posing as an IAS officer was arrested in Telangana for cheating 29 people of ₹80 lakh by promising them government jobs. Barla Laxminarayana introduced himself as an IAS official posted as Joint Collector in Mancherial. He procured two cars, a motorcycle and a house and hired two men to pose as his driver and personal assistant.
