2271- Currency notes worth ₹5 crore used to decorate temple in Andhra; pics surface

Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari temple in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore has been decorated with currency notes worth over ₹5 crore ahead of Dussehra. Over 100 volunteers reportedly used denominations of ₹2,000, ₹500, ₹200, ₹100, ₹50 and ₹10 for decorations. Nellore Urban Development Authority chairman Mukkala Dwarakanath said, "7 kg of gold and 60 kg of silver are used to adorn the Goddess."
