Five ostriches in Arignar Anna Zoological Park, also known as Vandalur Zoo, in Chennai died all of a sudden, the zoo stated, adding that a 19-year-old lioness also died of age-related ailments. "Samples were collected for bacteriology, virology and toxicology examinations...Other birds are under surveillance and zoo veterinarians are continuously monitoring the remaining birds," it added.
