2466 - Gandhiji's statue nearly beheaded hrs after unveiling in Aus, was gifted by India

Attempts were made in Melbourne to behead a life-sized statue of Mahatma Gandhi that was gifted by the Indian government to Australia. The incident took place hours after PM Scott Morrison unveiled the bronze statue at the Australian Indian Community Centre. "It is disgraceful and extremely disappointing to see this level of disrespect," said Morrison on the incident.
