2549- Sweden's 1st female PM, Who resigned on her 1st day, elected again


The Swedish Parliament elected Magdalena Andersson, the first female Prime Minister of the country, a second time after she had resigned on her first day as her coalition partner withdrew its support. Andersson, who is Sweden's former Finance Minister, was elected by a minority vote, garnering support from 101 legislators. She will govern as head of a single-party minority government.
