2581 - TMC promises ₹5,000 per month for women if voted to power in Goa polls

The TMC on Saturday announced it will roll out its 'Griha Laxmi' scheme in Goa, if it is voted to power in the Assembly elections. TMC leader Mahua Moitra said ₹5,000 would be transferred to a woman from every household per month, irrespective of their income, as guaranteed income support. The scheme will cost approximately ₹1,500-2,000 crore to the government.
