A 72-year-old painting worker in Kerala won the government's Christmas-New Year lottery which carried prize money of ₹12 crore. Sadanandan had purchased the ticket for ₹300 on Sunday and within five and half hours he won the first prize. Working as a painter for the last 50 years, Sadanandan said he'd use the amount to improve his children's living conditions.
