A confidential United Nations report seen by Reuters said, "According to a member state, North Korean cyberactors stole over $50 million (over ₹370 crore) between 2020 and mid-2021 from at least three cryptocurrency exchanges in North America, Europe and Asia." The report further said that "cyberattacks, particularly on cryptocurrency assets, remain an important revenue source" for North Korea.
