WHO has said COVID-19 cases are increasing in many countries as there could be a "dangerous double effect" of opening up too quickly and high Omicron transmissibility. "In all of those countries that are focussed on vaccination of most vulnerable people, it doesn't necessarily result in a massive increase in pressure on the health system," WHO's Dr Mike Ryan said.
