Maharashtra's COVID-19 task force has said the third wave could hit the state in two to four weeks. The force said that the Delta plus variant could trigger the third wave and active cases could reach up to 8 lakh. It added that lower middle-class clusters that haven't been exposed to the virus so far would be hit the hardest.
