Over 51,600 cases of rape and POCSO offences have been disposed through 660 fast track special courts (FTSCs) in 26 states, Union Minister Smriti Irani said on Wednesday. This comes after the Centre on Tuesday approved the continuation of 1,023 FTSCs from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2023. A total of ₹1572.86 crore has been approved for the same.
