88% dip in J&K stone-pelting incidents compared to 2019: MHA data

Stone-pelting incidents in Jammu and Kashmir between January and July this year fell by 88% compared to the same period in 2019, as per data available with the Ministry of Home Affairs. As many as 618 stone-pelting incidents were recorded in the Valley from January to July in 2019. Such incidents dropped to 222 in 2020 and 76 in 2021.
