China to provide Afghanistan with $31 million worth of food and Covid vaccines

A day after Taliban announced its interim government in Afghanistan, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China would provide 200 million yuan (₹228 crore) worth of grain, winter supplies, vaccines and medicine to Afghanistan. He added that China had already decided to donate an initial batch of 3 million COVID-19 vaccine doses to the Afghan people.
