India's daily COVID-19 cases crossed the 40,000-mark for the first time in six days as 41,195 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It further said that active cases (3,87,987) in the country constitute 1.21% of total cases. India's total cases reached 3,20,77,706 and the death toll surged to 4,29,669.
Delhi recorded zero COVID-19 fatality and 37 new cases of infection on Wednesday, with the positivity rate declining to 0.06%, according to data shared by the health department. Forty-seven patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 14,11,327 in the national capital. As many as 1,40,849 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
