Mall owners lose around ₹3,000 cr in 8 weeks due to lockdowns


Mall owners have incurred losses of around ₹3,000 crore amid the second COVID-19 wave over the last eight weeks due to lockdowns imposed by various states, according to Shopping Centres Association of India (SCAI). Around 25% of the business of the retail side across categories has been lost and this is impacting mall owners, SCAI Chairman Mukesh Kumar said.
