Myanmar activists say over 1,000 killed by security forces since coup

Over 1,000 people have been killed by security forces in Myanmar since the military coup on February 1, an official of the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners activist group said. "[Actual] number of victims is much higher," AAPP secretary Tate Naing said. Myanmar's military seized power in a coup after Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi's ruling party won elections.
