Iran on Saturday imposed a 10-day lockdown in 23 of the country's 31 provinces to combat the spread of the fourth wave of COVID-19, state media reported. As many as 794 coronavirus deaths were reported in India in the last 24 hours, out of which 10 states accounted for 86.78%. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (301), followed by Chhattisgarh (91). Punjab recorded 56 deaths, Karnataka 46, while Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh reported 42 and 36 deaths each.
