Pakistan Army appoints Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum as new ISI chief

Pakistan Army has appointed Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum as the new Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The spy agency was earlier headed by Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, who held the ISI chief post since 2019. Pakistan Army has appointed Hameed as the Peshawar Corps Commander. Recently, Hameed's visit to Kabul raised questions over Pakistan's role in the Taliban cabinet.
