Sri Lanka faces 'worst-ever beach pollution' from burning ship, pics surface

Sri Lanka's Marine Environment Pollution Authority has said the country is facing its "worst-ever beach pollution" after a Singapore-flagged cargo ship caught fire near Colombo beach. Much of the cargo, including 25-tonne nitric acid, sodium hydroxide and lubricants, seems to have been destroyed, officials said.
