UN condemns child marriages in Zimbabwe after teen dies giving birth

The United Nations (UN) has condemned the practice of child marriage in Zimbabwe after a 14-year-old girl died while giving birth at a church shrine. "Sadly, disturbing reports of the sexual violation of under-age girls, including forced child marriages continue to surface," it added. Neither of Zimbabwe's two marriage laws set the minimum age for marriage consent.
