US nuclear submarine hits underwater object in South China sea

A US nuclear-powered submarine hit an "object" while submerged in international waters in the South China Sea last week, injuring some crew members, officials said. None of the crew suffered life-threatening injuries, they added. "The submarine remains in a safe and stable condition. USS Connecticut's nuclear propulsion plant and spaces weren't affected and remain fully operational," US Navy said.
