The US Supreme Court has refused to block a Texas ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. The law would amount to a near-total ban on the procedure in Texas as 85% to 90% of abortions are obtained after six weeks of pregnancy, abortion rights groups said. US President Joe Biden said the "extreme" law "blatantly" violated women's rights.
