A man was arrested for smuggling gold worth approximately ₹5,58,900, in form of wires concealed inside beads of ladies' hairbands, from Dubai. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) said that the gold weighed 115 grams. The man was arrested at the Mangaluru International Airport and a case has been registered against the accused.
