2547- China pledges 100 crore COVID 19 vaccine doses for Africa

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday said that China would offer another 100 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines to African countries. The pledge of additional vaccine doses comes on top of the nearly 20 crore doses that China has already supplied to the continent, according to Reuters. The announcement comes amid concerns over the new Omicron COVID-19 variant.
