2608 - Human Rights Watch asks Japan to stop training Myanmar army cadets


Human Rights Watch (HRW) urged Japan to suspend its military exchange with Myanmar. "It's mind boggling that Japan is providing training to Myanmar cadets at the same time as its forces are committing crimes," said HRW. Under the military exchange program, eight candidates from Myanmar military receive broad range of military training at the Japan's National Defence Academy.
