Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday said the alleged land scam in Ayodhya, around the Ram temple's site, must be investigated by Supreme Court. She called the probe ordered by the UP government into the alleged scam an eyewash. "Ram Mandir Trust was formed on basis of Supreme Court verdict. So, it should be probed by SC," she said.
The UP government has ordered a probe into reports of land grabbing by the relatives of government officials and BJP leaders near the upcoming Ram Temple in Ayodhya. After the news report was published, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the government and tweeted, "Hindu follows the path of truth. Hindutva robs under the guise of religion."
