Nearly ₹3,000 crore has been transferred to 42 lakh ineligible farmers under the Centre's Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme and the government is recovering the amount, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar informed Parliament on Tuesday. Assam has the highest number of ineligible farmers getting the PM-KISAN money, followed by Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Maharashtra, Tomar added.
