500 Hong Kong officers raid pro-democracy newspaper & arrest 5 execs


Five hundred Hong Kong police officers raided pro-democracy tabloid Apple Daily's newsroom on Thursday over a suspected breach of the new national security law. Police arrested five executives of the newspaper after sifting through reporters' computers, laptops, phones and notebooks. Police have also frozen HK$18 million (around ₹17 crore) of assets owned by three companies linked to Apple Daily.
