India's GDP grows at record 20.1% in Q1 of FY22 against -24.4% in Q1 a year ago


The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation on Tuesday said, "The real GDP has strongly bounced back in the first quarter (April-June) of the Financial Year 2021-22 with growth rate of 20.1%." In the Q1 of FY 2020-21, the country's GDP saw a contraction of 24.4%. Nominal GDP also improved in the Q1 of FY22 with a 31.7% growth rate.
