Taiwan's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday announced that the country is opening a Representative Office in Lithuania despite opposition from China. Lithuania said earlier this year that it plans to open its own Representative Office in Taiwan. China claims Taiwan as its own territory and urged Lithuania to "abide by the one-China principle".
