World number three Stefanos Tsitsipas has been knocked out of the US Open in the third round by Spain's 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz. Tsitsipas lost with the scoreline of 3-6, 6-4, 6-7(2-7), 6-0, 6-7(5-7) in four hours and seven minutes. With the win, Carlos became the youngest Spanish man to reach the US Open fourth round since Rafael Nadal in 2006.
