You can divorce your wife but not your kids, SC tells man; orders him to pay ₹4 cr

The Supreme Court on Tuesday told a man that he could divorce his wife but not his two children and directed him to pay ₹4 crore to his wife within six weeks. Granting divorce to the couple staying separately since 2019, the SC said, "You will have to pay [your ex-wife] the amount to maintain herself and the minor children."
